Abstract EN

This research is about some of the moral values that the Umayyad poet Omar ibn Abi Rabia possessed.

It corrects the point of view of some researchers in his poetry and life who thought that he harnessed his life to satisfy his whims and indulge in his pleasures, and his poetry has no morals.

Hence this paper reveals some of the morals this poet possessed such as chastity, truthfulness, keeping secret, honesty, forgiveness, and love of people.

This paper is also about some technical aspects of his poetry such as his brilliance in using suitable words with its clarity and ease, and the beauty and softness of his expressions, and his keenness on the lyrical poetry, which is quickly attached to the mind.
