The study aims to activate the role and impact of the inner courtyard on the functional and aesthetic structure of the interior space and its inhabitants, and adopted in its procedures the descriptive analytical approach for its relevance and the nature of the study.

and practitioners of the profession in the Jordanian capital/Amman, and after the procedures of description and analysis of the data statistically, the most important results of the study concluded that there are no statistically significant differences in the role of the inner yard according to the functional and aesthetic structure from the point of view of the interior designer and practitioners of the profession, and the researcher recommended in the conclusion of the study the need to conduct studies A deeper aspect of the aesthetic and functional aspect of the inner courtyard and the surrounding inner spaces in the light of international scientific experiments related to the study of different architectural and design methods to design healthy, safe interior spaces for those spaces and their residents, and with serious attempts to reuse the inner courtyard in contemporary architecture.
