Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of early intervention services provided to children with intellectual disability from the viewpoint of parents in light of their psychological, social, cognitive and economic/financial needs.

Through identifying the statistical differences between parents of children with intellectual disability who had received early intervention services and who had not been provided with such services for their children.

The study used the quantitative approach represented in the questionnaire, which included four main dimensions (psychological, social, cognitive and economic), their validity and consistency were verified and then applied to the sample of the study, which consisted of (244) parents, whose children have intellectual disability and are enrolled in the elementary schools in Jeddah.

The results indicated to statistically significant differences for parents of children with intellectual disability who received early intervention services in cognitive and psychological needs for their children.

This indicates that early intervention services provided to children with intellectual disability having an effect from the parents' point of view in light of their cognitive and psychological needs.

While there are no statistically, significant differences for both parents that received and not received early intervention services for their children in their social and economic needs.

This indicates that early intervention services provided to children with intellectual disability having no effect from the parents' point of view in light of their social and economic needs.
