This study intend to interpretate the text according to the entire values, which are represented by the values of goodness and beauty, goodness is the subject of ethics, so the study focused on ethical issues, therefore, the study aims to shed light on ethics in the ancient Greek drama.

It tries to answer the following questions: Did the Greek Drama address the moral values of their plays? How influenced is the Greek playwrights deal with the philosophy of morality? The study assumed that: drama topics primarily are ethics.

The study followed the historical and analytical approach, hence the study reached its conclusion, the most important of which: morality exists in the structure of the Greek myth, through the actions of its heroes, in the play Oedipus The king, there is the value of absolute freedom, Oedipus was free in his deeds as well as Tous when he ordered the murder of the child Oedipus.
