Abstract EN
The study dealt with the geographical analysis of the distribution of police stations and their relationship to crime in Diyala Governorate, based on data that included variables of population, and police stations, and numbers of staff, and officers, and crimes in district and sub-district centers.
The results showed that the distribution of police stations was not arbitrary, but rather depending on the size of the population.
Therefore, their numbers varied between district centers and sub-districts, as the Baquba district had the highest percentage of population concentration, reaching (22.5)% of the total population of the governorate, corresponding to the highest percentage of the police stations, (15% ) of the total police stations in the governorate, and the study showed that the Muqdadiyah district occupied the highest crime rate (18.2)% of the total crime in the governorate, with shortage of officers and staff of workers
