Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify "the level of awareness of the administrative leaders in the ministry of higher education and scientific research of the concepts of total quality management and its importance".

to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method by developing a questionnaire to collect data from the study sample.

the researcher checked the validity and reliability of the study tool.

the sample of the study consisted of all administrative leaderships in the ministry of higher education and scientific research in Jordan for the academic year 2020/2021, consisting of (160) administrative leaders according to the organizational structure announced in the ministry of higher education and scientific research, and (25) of them were chosen as a sample to conduct the survey study and then the remaining (135) study population were considered a sample for the study.

the results of the study showed that the level of awareness of the administrative leaders in the ministry of higher education and scientific research of the concepts of total quality management and its importance was high, where "continuous improvement" variable got ranked first with a high level followed by "avoiding mistakes" variable.

in the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the necessity of paying attention to the strategy of total quality management in the ministry of higher education and scientific research, and attention to training and qualification of workers and work to raise their scientific and professional level to meet the needs of the constantly changing labor market.
