Abstract EN

Since its emergence, Sudan television has been the most important media platform for use of music and sound effects.

there are no specific scientific methods to choose types of both according to the content of each program.

the director of the TV program or his substitute shall choose from the global music, or ask a none professional or professional musician to produce the required music and sound effects.

too often we find a mismatch between the music type and the content of any of specific program, in particular, which distanced from Sudanese identity, and may cause the local material to become strange to the receiver.

the purpose of this study is to find out the cause of these uses through the selection of musical materials and sound effects and their importance to the program, as well as to know the most important out/indoor authors and characteristic of melody and types.
