Abstract EN

This study is aimed at introducing the importance of color as an element in the plastic construction of the textile pendant.

it also targets highlighting the color values and connotations and their impact on awareness of the form and content in the plastic construction of the textile pendant and its association with the culture of peoples.

the learner has used the descriptive-analytical appraoch which is the most appropriate for the nature of the study regarding scrutiny of the color values and connotations in the manual textile artworks so that they may thereafter be analyzed and discussed.

consequently, a group of models of textile pendants by some weavers and designers have been selected so that they may thereaqfter be analyzed and discussed in accordance with artistic standards.

the study ensued in results; mainly the fact that: the color values and connotations in the plastic construction of the textile pendant are perceptible and that we are responsive to them and appreciate them, and that they have evident impact on the self as well as fulfill and enhance man's aesthetic and material need.
