Gens de Mosta is a story of a moving town, which constantly changes its face, thus creating a sociolinguistic dynamic very representative of the social component of its inhabitants.
In this article, we present examples of analysis of urban transformations in Mostaganem’s town, and their relationship with the linguistic variations of its population, represented in the short stories of this book, by characters in perpetual placement, providing to the town, a critical and passionate look from the inside or the outside.

Gens de Mosta est un récit d’une ville en mouvement, qui change incessamment de visage, créant ainsi une dynamique sociolinguistique très représentative de la composante sociale de ses habitants.
Dans cet article nous présenterons des exemples d’analyse des transformations urbaines de la ville de Mostaganem, et leurs relations avec les variations linguistiques de sa population, représentées dans les nouvelles du livre par des personnages en perpétuel déplacement, et qui apportent à la ville, un regard de l’intérieur ou de l’extérieur, qui est à la fois, critique et amoureux
