Work plays an important role in improving the mental health of people with special needs and supporting their integration into society in general.

The Law on the Protection and Promotion of Persons with Disabilities in Algeria has established the right to work for them by practicing a professional activity appropriate to their abilities, which allows ensuring their physical and economic independence.

his research paper aims to try to identify the most important difficulties facing persons with disabilities in the employment process in Algeria, the most important of which is the difficulty of integrating the disabled into the labor market due to the noncompliance of some properties with the law that calls them to employ one percent of this segment; As the percentage of disabled workers today is weak and does not exceed ten percent, and the lack of rehabilitation services and the incompatibility of some professions and market needs, in addition to that some of the available jobs are far away.

In order to reduce these difficulties, it is necessary to reconsider the ways and methods of qualifying this segment according to scientific foundations supervised by qualified cadres, giving them the necessary means to enable them to obtain a job position, and providing encouraging tax incentives for institutions that employ people with special needs.
