أحدثت التطورات التقنية الحديثة التي يشهدها العالم ثورة في تكنولوجيا الاتصال والمعلومات على مدى السنوات القليلة الماضية.

مما أدى إلى ظهور تغيرات نوعية في العديد من أوجه الحياة وبوتيرة عالية.

حيث مهدت الطريق لعملية الانتقال من المجتمع الصناعي إلى مجتمع المعلومات، وقد أخذت هذه الثورة تترك آثارها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية وغيرها على المجتمع المعاصر بشكل غير مسبوق كما ونوعا.

وكان الأساس في ثورة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات هو التلاقي والترابط الذي تم بين عتاد وأجهزة الكمبيوتر والبرمجيات.

كذا شبكات الاتصالات.

وعلى مدى نصف القرن العشرين وبداية الألفية الثالثة ارتقت هذه التكنولوجيا، خلال سلسلة من النقلات النوعية.

نحو الأصغر والأسرع والأكفأ، الأسهل استخداما.

يعيش العالم اليوم مرحلة جديدة.

حيث تمثل شبكة المعلومات والاتصال أحد مظاهر هذه الثورة.

فهي تؤدي دورا أساسيا في صياغة الأنشطة الرئيسية للإنسان في شتى نواحي الحياة.

علما أنه تم من خلاله إزالة حواجز الزمان والمكان.

تسعى هذه الورقة البحثية إلى محاولة استكشاف وتحديد معالم وأبعاد الثورة التكنولوجية الحديثة التي تعتمد على استغلال وسائل الاتصالات وشبكات المعلومات، وذلك من خلال تحديد مفهوم التكنولوجيا الرقمية، نشأتها وتطورها، بيان خصائصها وأهم أشكالها، ومن ثم إبراز دوافع استخداماتها وتأثيراتها على المجتمع

English Abstract

The modern technological developments that the world is witnessing have revolutionized communication and information technology over the past few years, which has led to the emergence of qualitative changes in many aspects of life at a high pace, as it paved the way for the process of transition from the industrial society to the information society, and this revolution has taken its effects.

Economic, social, cultural and other aspects of contemporary society in an unprecedented manner, in terms of quantity and quality.

The basis of the communications and information technology revolution was the convergence and interconnection that took place between hardware, computers and software, as well as communication networks, and over the course of the half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the third millennium, this technology rose through a series of qualitative shifts towards smaller, faster and more efficient The world is living in a new phase today, where the information and communication network is one of the manifestations of this revolution, as it plays a fundamental role in shaping the main activities of man in various aspects of life, knowing that through it the barriers of time and space have been removed, and electronic communication has become The exchange of news and the transfer of information in the shortest time and at the lowest cost from the tangible facts, all this has put institutions in front of a new challenge, namely, the possession of information and communication technology and control over it Based on the foregoing this research paper seeks to try to explore and define the features and dimensions of the modern technological revolution that depends on the exploitation of means of communication and information networks, by defining the concept of digital technology, its origin and development, indicating its characteristics and its most important forms, and then highlighting the motives for its uses and its effects on the society
