Abstract EN

This historical and analytical study deals with the Umayyad architecture of the Dome of the Rock mosque in the al-Aqsa Mosque during the reign of Caliph Abdul-Malik bin Marwan, and aims to identify the aesthetic architecture in building the Dome of the Rock and the buildings of the al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem and to taste these values and the secrets of its splendor and beauty and what it represents of great qualitative and cultural value in the history of Arab and Islamic civilization in its past, present and future together with how can we employ this wonderful architecture in the applications of modern contemporary architecture.

The study concluded with results, the most important of which is that the Umayyad Islamic architecture contained many features, components and vocabulary of architectural art.
