Tourism has received great attention from the Algerian government for its tremendous ability to stir the wheel of growth.

Algeria has endeavored to exploit all its potentials to develop tourism through the enactment of a set of laws and legislations that may improve the tourism offer, however the contribution of the tourism sector to the Algerian economy remains weak which has always kept Algeria in the lag ranks according to the tourism competitiveness index, therefore the Algerian government is compelled to reconsider the seriousness of executing the strategies and plans that were established within the tourism planning guidelines, horizons 2030.
