The research aims to: - Preparing educational units according to Willen and Phillips' strategy in learning the skill of handling football for students of the fifth literary grade.
- Detecting the effect of Wan and Phillips' strategy using skill exercises in learning the skill of handling football for fifth literary grade students.
- Detecting the differences in the results of the two post-tests of the experimental and control groups in learning the skill of handling football for students of the fifth literary grade.
The researchers adopted the experimental method in the manner of two equal experimental and control groups with two tests, pre and post tests, for its relevance to the nature of the research.
The research community consisted of the fifth preparatory grade students in Omar Al-Mukhtar Preparatory School for Boys, one of the schools of the Salah Al-Din Education Directorate / Samarra Education Department for the academic year 2020/2021 and the adult Their number is (36) students, and the research sample was chosen randomly by lottery, to be a control group and an experimental group, which numbered (24) students and (12) students for each group, while (6) students were excluded because of their participation in the study.
The exploratory experiment and (4) repeaters and (2) students practicing the game, and the researchers used the statistical methods, including (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, skew coefficient, mode, percentage, simple correlation coefficient “Pearson”).
The researchers concluded that the use of the strategy (Wann and Phillips) has a significant impact on learning the skill of handling football for students.
The researchers recommended conducting similar studies to the current study on other sports and at different age and school stages.
