Abstract EN

This study aimed to investigate and check the role of secondary schools in enhancing level of health awareness among secondary school pupils.

The researchers adopted the descriptive approach and used the scale of health awareness as a study tool which was applied on a random sample of 370 pupils for the school year 2020-2021 in the Central Province of Algeria.

The statistical treatment was done by the quantitative method using the "spss" statistical treatment program for social sciences version (22).

The results showed that the level of general health awareness was moderate, with an arithmetic average (22.

61), and the response rate was estimated at (75.

38%).

The study also concluded by presenting a set of recommendations that would raise the level of health awareness of secondary school students.
