Abstract EN

This research aims to analyze Algeria's approach to providing food security in the context of a global community of risks related to the Covid-19 pandemic as a health crisis whose repercussions and severity of damages extended to various sectors and levels of society, which calls for a sociological analysis of a societal reality that has witnessed special challenges.

This research is part of the analytical studies, the descriptive method is adopted with its various analytical methods, to be compatible with the nature of the topic, and it is used to enhance the background of the cognitive framework for research and infer the results of studies and reports.

The study found that Algeria's approach towards providing food security in the context of COVID-19 is linked to two main dimensions, which relate to realizing opportunities for empowering individuals, and then building individuals' awareness and rationalizing their balanced consumption behavior.
