Abstract EN
This paper aims to analyze and study the effectiveness of the loan granting process is effective in controlling credit risks.
To complete an empirical study was carried out by distributing a questionnaire on a sample of 80 public and foreign bank offices.
We found that banks suffer from a lack of information when assessing risk.
This increases bankers’ perception of high business risk.
In the context of informational opacity, the assessment and control of corporate credit risk by Algerian banks are concentrated on the tool of traditional financial analysis.
Also, informational asymmetry through signaling and moral hazard significantly impact the ex-ante and ex-post decisions of bankers.
