Abstract EN

Algerian society, in the twentieth century, was marked by the dawn of the reform movement that, since the 1930s, wich gained a great social and religious influence in the nation, as it is looks at the history of several generations of reform endeavors and ideology that may have been influenced, to some extent, by some outside sources of inspiration.

This article aims to expose the positive reflection of prominent reformist figures in Algeria, such as Sheikh Abdelhamid Iben Badis, Mubarak El-Mili, El-Ibrahimi and others, in the evolution of the reformist discourse and its role in social reform in Algeria.
