This study aims to address the phenomenon of the general budget deficit that Algeria suffers from as a result of its connection to the hydrocarbon sector and making it vulnerable to fluctuations in oil prices, and in order to cover this deficit, it is necessary to research the financing options available for public spending in light of the decline in public revenues.

The study reached the conclusion that the policy of unconventional financing has positive effects in the short term by providing liquidity to the public treasury, while disastrous results appear in the medium and long term.
