he current study scrutinizes the legal legislations dealing with the phenomenon of corruption in Mauritania.

The problem of the study revolves around analyzing the nature of laws approved by the Mauritanian legislator to combat the phenomenon of corruption in Mauritania where corruption is one of the most important obstacles to development within developing countries.

In particular, Mauritania joined the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

Thus, the question of the study is: How the Mauritanian legislator deal with the phenomenon of corruption in Mauritania? And are direct and indirect anti-corruption laws sufficient to curb this phenomenon? Accordingly, the study aims to know the extent to which these laws succeeded in fighting against corruption in Mauritania.
