Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the orientations of physical education teachers towards the contemporary issues related to physical education curricula in the light of the trend of foreseeing the future (such as mental health, green economy, physical literacy, breadth and balance, equal educational opportunities, and curriculum models in physical education) etc., the study also highlighted the actual role of leading the development of the curriculum, as well as identifying the relative influence exercised by institutions and individuals that affect the process of implementing physical education and sports curricula.

the descriptive approach was used on a sample of (77) physical education teachers in public and private schools, for the academic year (2020 / 2021), the most important results of the study were the differences in the teachers' opinions on the contemporary issues related to physical education curricula and the weakness of the real role of leading the development of the curriculum, as well as the relative influence exercised by the institutions and individuals that affect the process of implementing the curriculum.
