Abstract EN

This contrastive study seeks to identify similarities and differences between the methods of styles of imperative in the Arabic and Turkish languages, by relying on the descriptive and contrasting approaches, with the aim of overcoming the difficulties encountered by Turkish students of Arabic language learners while they learn the rules of the command.

due to the difference in their mother tongue from the Arabic language, and ended up providing suggested solutions that contribute to overcoming these difficulties.

among the most prominent findings of the research is the presence of similarities and differences between the Arabic and Turkish languages in the imperative manner.

among the similarities is the participation of the two languages in some imperative formulas such as the standard and interrogative form, and the impermissibility of the command of the speaker and speakers in the two languages in the standard form.

as for the differences between the two languages, one of them is that the Arabic language is unique from the Turkish language in the phenomenon of parsing, and that the imperative forms in Arabic contain differentiation and identification of the addressee on the basis of number: singular, dual, and plural, or on the basis of gender: the masculine and feminine, unlike the Turkish language, which lacks the same formulas.
