Abstract EN

The current research is about one type of Qur'anic interpretations, which is the objective interpretation and its title: (Islamic Rules of polygamy in the light of the Holy Quran) by studying the Qur'anic verses and the Islamic rules derived from them.

The research refers to the scholars of Quranic interpretations (both the ancestors and successors).

Besides, the researcher refers to the subject in terms of Prophetic interpretation and detail as referred in the traditions of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him).

Therefore, the research touches the following: Islamic legal view of polygamy, its evidences, and its wisdom.

Statement of the conditions of polygamy, and their evidences in terms of the equity in overnight stays with wives, and money spent to them...etc.

polygamy to more than four women with reference to the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Sunnah, conveying the unanimity among scholars on the prohibition of such polygamy, and nullifying the saying of those who said it is permissible to marry to nine women.

References to the cases where polygamy is forbidden such as the combination of two sisters, or between the woman, her aunt.

Presentation of the implications of polygamy.

The research is concluded with a number of findings and recommendations.
