This research paper attempts to read and analyze the relationship between developmental authoritarianism and democracy from the perspective of opinions that promote the preference of one system over the other.

in light of the problems faced by the global economy due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, which affected the government performance of countries, as well as the quality of democracy, our question : did authoritarian development contribute to the decline of democracy ? to answer this problem, we will assume that authoritarian development has played a role in the decline of democracy, and to test the hypothesis, we will rely on the descriptive analytical approach and rely on statistics.

the conclusion that there is a dialectical relationship between the two systems and that the other affects each system.
