This theoretical study aims to examine the historical process of the role of Quranic writings in education in Algeria during the occupation era, through their occupation of the social and cultural position, as it played a major role in the social construction of society as it contributed to raising the child through what they learned from the principles of reading and writing and memorizing the Holy Quran.

therefore, in our study, we will try to shed light on the role of the qur’anic schools during the colonial period.
