Abstract EN

The unemployment is considered a major aspect of structural disruption that generated from a poor management for the economic activity.

Both them are two sides of one coin, in which the unemployment is a case of labour market disruption, and the treatment of structural disruptions represent a method to reduce the gap between supply and demand of labour forces from the other hand.

However, Iraq has suffered from the unemployment problem for a number of decades, this issue got worse after 2003 due to the security and military damages that occur in the country, where the political change in Iraq has led to cessation and destruction of many important economic institutions and factories.

Accordingly, this situation caused a high reliance on imports of most consuming goods, and increasing of neglecting any attempt to re-operate the producing sectors and solving unemployment.

Moreover, this study seeks to introduce a scenario that presents possible economic opportunities for Iraq to exit from the bottleneck and overcoming the most important disruption, particularly unemployment in order to re-balance and exploit the economic resources ideally, as Iraq own the second international crude oil reserve.
