Abstract EN

Traditionally homeless people were seen as mainly middle-aged men with alcohol related problems.

The current picture of the homeless population is that of increasingly younger and female homeless with different mental and social problems.

Those were compared with the male homeless patients presented to the same service.

The result of the analysis showed a socially isolated group of female homeless who presented to the serv.ice with mainly mood related problems and had uncompleted psychiatric assessment and care.
