Abstract EN

This study is an attempt to shed light on the main reasons of fires that destroyed the forests in the constantenian province in 1881 as well as to investigate the reactions of the French colonizer administration.

In fact, it is so necessary to know the main changes and procedures of the colonial authority towards these fires.

Furthermore, this subject generally shows the political and the strategic issues of the French colonizer and their efforts to deprive those neighbors from the services that such forests can give.

Indeed, as a researcher I' m sure that the sources and the references including texts, reports, graphs and descriptive tables which are used in this article gave enough data and statistics to rich our aim.
