Abstract EN

In social sciences, as in other sciences, in any scientific approach, three main stages must be distinguished: the collection of data, the organization and analysis of information, and the search for explanatory determinants, which is that is, to answer the question "why? " ”.

The process of data collection is until now a subject still unknown, which was previously the prerogative of statisticians, then the demographer, is now part of the activities of all researchers in different specialties.

This work is intended for them in the first place.

The main objective that we have set ourselves is to successively describe the main stages of work in the general organization of the process of collecting statistical data in the field, from setting objectives to submitting reports, including the questionnaire, recruitment and training of staff, coding, design of tables.

And try to raise some of the issues that may be exposed to the processOne of the most important conclusions we have reached is that these successive stages on a purely practical level are in fact interactive processes between them, and the quality of the data collection process depends on careful preparations and organizational and administrative procedures appropriate.

Such work cannot claim to provide an overview of all possible problems, methods and chains.

There is no doubt that the researcher, even if he is experienced, will not always find an answer to precise and concrete problems, which moreover remain very diverse.
