Abstract EN

In this research paper, we try to address the subject of marital selection among youth and its impact the delayed age of marriage in the Algerian society through a field study conducted on a group of youth in the state of Bordj Bou Arreridj, and trying to identify the criteria controlling marital selection from study sample point of view.

this study aims to enrich the scientific arena with such topics, and draw attention to the seriousness of this phenomenon, in addition to the identification of the causes and factors that lead to the delayed age of marriage, and tackle to the study of some important aspects related to marriage, which is considered as one of the most important events in the life of the individual.

we used the “intentional or accidental” sample, where we chose 20 individuals from each of the ten districts in the state of Bordj Bou Arreridj, and the number of our sample reached 200 individuals, and we distributed the questionnaire to them.
