Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the prevalence of social phobia appearances among students in the humanities and social sciences faculty of Kasdi Merbah university in Ouargla, and the extent to which this differs according to gender (males-females).

the data collection was relied on the social phobia scale of Samer Jamil Radwan (2009).

the data were treated using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS 17.0), and the main study sample consisted of (400) male and female students who were chosen by the quota method, and the descriptive approach was used.

the study data statistics showed that the prevalence of social phobia appearances among students amounted to (23.75%), and the study also concluded that there are substantial differences between students in the prevalence of social phobia appearances due to the gender variable (males / females).
