Second and third generation human rights within transitional justice mechanisms

Transitional justice, as a response to human rights violations, initially focused on first-generation human rights, civil and political rights.

The right to life, human dignity, physical integrity, and others were the most violated rights under authoritarian regimes, and under the complementary approach of transitional justice between judicial and non-judicial mechanisms, as well as the complementarity and indivisibility of human rights, the possibility of extending transitional justice to the rights of the second and third generations were sought.
