This study seeks to identify the foundations of the press discourse of Al-Khabar newspaper regarding the issue of the repercussions of the drop in oil prices on the international market and its impact on the general budget in Algeria.

As it mainly depends on fuel resources by 98%, which negatively affected the performance of all sectors, Based on this, we conducted a comprehensive survey of all the press issues on which the press rhetoric was based on the implications of the oil price crisis, and the time period was chosen from eleventh June 2014, to the end of the thirty One December 2014, This is the period in which there has been a lot of publishing about this issue, when the total sample size was determined to be 36 numbers, in addition to the type of approved sample, the intention sample, The study reached the most important results: The press talk is the most important and most intellectual art that the newspaper used in dealing with the crisis of low oil prices and its repercussions in Algeria by 50%, with the help of experts and economists, In order to elaborate and read the crisis in a deeper way, attention must be paid to it and to provide the necessary explanations and statements to enlighten public opinion and reassure it by presenting future expectations and solutions to confront this economic crisis.

Accordingly, we recommend that when dealing with an economic crisis, writers specialized in economics who have the skill of writing and dealing with economic crises from all sides, and they are at a high level of professionalism, transparency and independence, should be used to give credibility to the content of press speeches and to ensure that they are presented objectively without the intervention of the editorial policy of the newspaper or other parties.
