Abstract EN

The informal economy is a highly complex economic, social and political phenomenon, all world economies have suffered from them to varying degrees, since the 1980 s, the debate intensified given the importance of this economy in providing job opportunities in rural and poverty reduction.

recently, interest in this phenomenon has increased especially with the failure of official economic policies to accommodate the labor, and with increasing proportion of GDP and the resources that it accommodates, therefore it must pay attention to it as a phenomenon and as a source of wealth and a store of initiative through processing its causes and affects that touches all economic, social, environmental and institutional dimensions.

therefore, we aim through this study to study the informal economy in Algeria, through exposure to the factors that led to its spread and development, in addition to the effectiveness of the mechanisms and methods adopted by the Algerian state to deal with the phenomenon.
