This research questions a major topic in the writings of the Algerian thinker Mohamed Arkoun, and it is the subject of humanism, who occupied a fundamental position in his intellectual project, especially in his criticism of the Islamic mind, as this topic continued to penetrate the entirety of his studies, due to intellectual closure, and the walls made by religious fanaticism and imposed by hegemony theology is based on the Islamic mind, in light of the resurgence of fundamentalist thought, and with it the practices of violence and abolition, which give an image of deviation from Islam.

Arkoun calls for the humanization of life in Arab and Islamic spaces, by drawing inspiration from those experiences rich in connotations that celebrated the 4th century ah.

Arkoun dreams of a holistic humanism that, can transcend the boundaries of religions and ethnicities, and all geographical, sectarian, the human position only recognizes a person, regardless of his social, political and religious conditions.
