Abstract EN

Government investment spending is one of the financial policy tools that the Algerian government depends on in achieving macroeconomic objectives.

Therefore, this study aims to demonstrate the impact of government investment spending on economic growth outside hydrocarbons sector, using vector autoregressive model VAR, through an econometric study of annual data during the period 2000 -2018.

The study found through the results of the estimation of the studied model showed the weak interpretation of the variable of Gouvernment investment spending to the variable of economic growth outside the hydrocarbon sector in Algeria during the study period.

This study concluded also through the causality test that there is no causal relationship in both directions between the Government investment spending and the variable of economic growth outside the hydrocarbon sector.
