Abstract EN

Research topic focuses on study of social interaction of individuals within the sports teams and the factors that contribute to increase performance, and to know the impact of the social cohesion within sports team on the level of achievement motivation among basketball players.

the research sample included six teams participate in the Algerian premier league of basketball, and the number of players is estimated at (66); the study found that there is a positive correlation between social cohesion and achievement motivation, so the high social cohesion of the sports team will lead to a high level of achievement motivation among the players.
