This study attempted to investigate the role of recreational sports activities as a mechanism for tourism investment in Algeria.

The research sample consisted of 45 officials active in sports associations that are active at the national level.

We used the descriptive analytical method, relying on the following research methods: Initial note- Interview- Questionnaire.

The results of the study revealed the role of recreational sports activities as a mechanism to attract multiple categories of practitioners.

Also, the study emphasized the role of sports associations in activating recreational sports activities as a means of tourist attraction, and the role of recreational sports activities in introducing the national balance of traditional games.

Additionally, it emphasized the need to activate Domestic tourism by intensifying recreational sports activities
