Popular proverbs are the leachate of peoples ’thinking, as they are of great social value ؛because they affect the behavior of individuals through advice and guidance, which they take in organizing the course of their lives, and in their relationship with others .From this standpoint, we will deal with one of the most prominent books, which is the book of the Algerian popular proverbs by linguist Hadj Saleh from various aspects that include definition, purpose, approach, sources, and others with semantic representation whenever the context requires it.
