Folk medicine in Algeria was not just a profession or performance by the practitioner of these folk methods in various simple and complex ways and tools, naturalistic and metaphysical, but was an art recognized by foreign scholars, including doctors and researchers in the ethnography of social phenomena in Algerian society, which continued over the years, acquired generation after generation.

Many phenomena have disappeared from them, and most of the methods in which the Algerian individual has confidence and curative effectiveness for various diseases have survived, and they have steadily gained their place in people's minds and behaviors
