The phenomenon of desertification is among the global environmental problems that are expected to lead to the disappearance of two-thirds of the agricultural lands in the world's dry areas, according to the Global Environment Fund report.

This research paper will address the concepts of desertification and climate change as the most important global challenges that have dire effects on environmental safety, food security, political, social and economic stability, as well as sustainable development and outline the most important strategies that will reduce this environmental problem.

It also reached to clarify that the policy of combating desertification is part of the country's environmental policy.
