In view of the great importance that caricature has acquired since its emergence to this time, especially since it has preserved the interest of a large of audiences, especially the readership in particular, despite the great development that the media has known, both paper and electronic, to which it has moved, we wanted in our research to explain this art in two points : historical : we stood in it on the stages of development of this art and semiological : we worked during it to explain the importance of this type of art by deconstructing the various symbols and signs associated with it.
