Abstract EN

The present research study is an attempt to shed light on the development of sarcasm in Algerian literature through two authors, Ibn Mahrez Alwahrani and Ahmed Ridha Houhou.

it tackles the similarities and differences of both experiences in terms of not only rebellion and commitment but the chosen method as well (literary genre and the used artistic mechanisms).

it also draws upon the nature of the sarcastic topic, its characters as well as the sociocultural and political context.
