Abstract: Al-Khalil bin Ahmed drew attention at an early age to the idea of sounds abstract from speech, he identified their exits and the vocal apparatus role in refining them using a scientific methodology that will be discussed later.

Research goal: Introducing Al-Khalil's innovative scientific methodology in arranging Arabic voices in the absence of modern scientific research laboratories.

research results: Al-Ain Lexicon is the first comprehensive dictionary of Arabic words.

AlKhalil established it on new approach which is consistent in its features with the modernists classification .because he arranged its material according to its exits from the farthest of the throat to the lips (in the air direction emanating from the lungs) and then to the highest.
