The most important methodological aspects of academic writing and scientific research is: punctuation, it is the second section of calligraphy, it is one of the sciences in the Arabic language, so many of us neglect its importance.

Punctuation marks are determinants of speech to understand the writer and the reader.

As the oral discourse has verbal and non-verbal mechanisms; the intention of the speaker is the author of the text.

In this article, we try to answer what punctuation is, and its communicative role in writing, while explaining the importance of controlling its drawing in its positions, for the researcher in his writings.
