Abstract EN

The Paratext constitutes a one of the five patterns of transtextual typologies enunciated by the French Critic Gérard Genette, who is one of the pioneers and theorists of this field.

Accordingly, the creative text can only be acknowledged by the Paratexts that outlines its interior and exterior, thuscontemporary critical studies endeavours to spotlight these Paratexts for they embody the keyouts to facilitate the reading process, deployed by semioticians to question and deconstruct the text.

In this paper, we will focus on the study of the cover because it is the first interface that draws the attention of the reader as well as the study of the title as it represents the existential being of the text.

Furthermore, the cover and the title are among the most pertinently important Paratextswhich indicate the text and stimulate the reader to engage in profoundly scrutinizing reading and interpretation.

All in all, the aim of this research paper is to reveal the author's intent, the Paratexts significations and their relevance to the text, based on the Semiotic approach which will be concluded by a set of solid findings.
