This research aims to clarify the relationship between developing solar energy as renewable energy and achieving sustainable development.

in addition to highlighting the various efforts made by the Algerian state to develop the use of solar energy to support sustainable development plans and achieve the desired energy transition, considering Algeria is one of the countries that possesses great and enormous potentials of solar energy.

as it was concluded at the end of this research that Algeria is making great efforts to develop the optimal and integrated use of renewable energies, especially solar energy, by supporting research and development efforts in this field, which contributes to achieving sustainable development in Algeria.
