Abstract EN

This paper aims at identifying one of the modern forms of communication used by the modern State, represented by its public institutions and facilities.

We have sought to identify the concept of public communication, as well as its forms of practice in Algeria.

In our article, we used this analytical descriptive approach to present the various definitions provided by public communication professionals, as well as showing the similarities and differences between it and political communication, in addition to addressing the most important features that distinguish it from other structural forms, as well as the functions and tools used to do so.

Moreover, we have provided a critical reading of the reality of the practice in Algeria.
