Abstract EN

He is one of the most prominent Arab personalities who contributed in the Arab Muslim world, scholars and historians who appeared in the seventh century ah- the thirteenth century ad, contributed to enrich the Arab scientific heritage in his distinguished book “the wonders of creatures and the strangeness of existences” because it contained what god almighty created and the oddities on dry land and water.

this is because the book included articles on the upper and lower reaches and the sights in astronomy in their forms and descriptions of their movements, as well as knowledge of the dry land with its origins, regions, mountains, rivers, springs and wells, and about water from seas, islands and aquatic animals, and looking at creatures which are the bodies generated by mothers such as looking at minerals and looking at plant and animal consideration.

therefore, it is necessary to give a brief about the author with an explanation of the general methodology of the book, as well as the special methodology for studying plants, by presenting the Qazwini method for mentioning medicinal plants.
