Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of social harmony among the physically handicapped practicing the sport of swimming and compare it with non-practitioners from the point of view of parents, the descriptive method was used, and the study community was chosen using a comprehensive survey method.

for people with motor challenges in the academic year (2019,2020), the first semester, and the questionnaire was used as a study tool and was designed based on the Likert three-dimensional scale, to measure the level of social compatibility from the viewpoint of parents based on five areas the questionnaire worked on to measure them.

the results of the study showed that the level of social harmony among the physically handicapped, from the point of view of their parents, was average despite the presence of apparent differences, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences in the study community estimates about the level of social harmony according to the variable of swimming practice and came to the benefit of practitioners for it for non-practitioners.

the study recommended emphasizing the importance of therapeutic swimming pools, and their importance in promoting social harmony among the group with motor disabilities, and making them one of the requirements for the establishment of special education centers.
